We follow the direction of national health care reform plan to focus on optimizing medical resources allocation. Through promoting the centralized purchase and unified distribution concept to reduce cost of clinical laboratories. In addition, providing diversified value-added services to improve business performance as well as medical service level of clinical laboratories, and finally increase patient satisfaction.
Laboratory standardization requires each activity of clinical laboratories of hospitals to apply Lean Thinking. The core of Lean Thinking is to control resource investment, including human resource, equipment, funding, material, time and space, to create greater value for providing satisfactory and immediate service to customers. The goal is to eliminate waste and keep improving while the clinical laboratories provide satisfactory services to patients. To reach the aim of lean management, the process optimization of a laboratory is carried out in three modes: concept optimization, procedure optimization and visual optimization.
